Antarctic Killer Whales Species

Killer whales (Orcinus orca) is the top marine predators, and perhaps the most common vertebrate on earth, occurs in all the world's oceans. Although now considered a single species in the world, our research found that the Antarctic water at least three distinctly different appearance of the form ('eco-') of killer whale predation priority in minke whales, seals and ice Fish, respectively. Our recent work shows that these genes represent at least three different species of killer whales. The role of killer whales in the Antarctic ecosystem will depend on their respective populations, their seasonal changes in Antarctic waters and out of the amount and type of prey, they consume.

In the Antarctic seals, leopard seals, or seals, is best known. Sometimes up to 12 feet long, a seal is generally light gray color and spots pattern. Some people have a pale coat, yellow color with black spots, reminds me of the tag leopard. Seals just as fierce as their name, reason for them to seek other warm-blooded animals and kill their food. Other Antarctic seals, crab-eating seals, Ross seals and Weddell seals.

There are two species of giant elephant seals, walruses, or. First, the South called the walrus, inhabit the waters around Antarctica. In addition, northern elephant seals are known to live in the waters off the coast of Baja California and Guadalupe species and other small islands.

The two species look very much alike, up to the same size. Large adult males can measure nearly 20 feet long and weighing 8,000 pounds in the region. Women are much smaller, usually measuring no more than 9 or 10 feet. A single 90 - 100 pound dog was born after 50 weeks of mating.

Global warming and a frequently cited example of one of the symbols is drowned polar bears in the Arctic. The polar bear is the top of the food chain in the Arctic, mainly hunt seals and even though they meet the omnivorous animals, especially when around places of human activity - like a rubbish dump.

The largest polar bear is a large white appearance of the site. A polar bear will participate in the pores of a stamp seal at this point, will use its enormous weight, break through the ice to capture, kill and eat an hour wait and seal. Also known as the polar bear swimming between ice and a huge range of ice Berges. Big problem with the melting of the Arctic Circle that these distances, even if they know the polar bear has become a mightly large.

Many people will say that the only solution to prevent polar bears from extinction is captive breeding in zoos like them. Although the polar bears live in the zoo will bring a lot of problems. Use of such a large area of the polar bears are bored quickly locked in a small box of. Going out quite a crazy zoo bear example. I remember one of the Auckland Zoo, the day most of the time pacing back and forth like a prisoner. Zoo and theme park, including improved packaging, they look at food in the ice of the polar bear (to make them work for it), hidden in a different way to do things to bear food. They also include more 'toys' to keep the bear busy. But even if this is for better mental health commitment to the gene, you need to have a highly skilled breeding program to ensure the health of at least 5,000 species of bear population.

Perhaps the solution is a radical of some polar bears to Antarctica. Antarctica is not melting fast (but to the human time to the things it). Polar bears will have plenty of prey - penguins, seals, birds, of course, the introduction of a new species such as the environment is a huge risk to the extinction of other species. Although the seals will be given a fine, there is no cure penguins north polar bears hunt they may be a different story - but especially emporers, gathered a large group meditation - sit 'duck' for a hungry polar bear. Perhaps a solution is to try some of the islands near the Antarctic First they see how they go and whether other species can adapt to a new predator.

The first thing one associates with Antarctica are penguins. These fascinating creatures alone make a significant contribution to the people of this continent. They may not be the most sophisticated, or elegant creatures, but that has not stopped learning and research staff who collected many details.

Although there are 17 different species of penguins found in today's world, only seven of these are found in Antarctica. These are in the Gentoo, Macaroni, Rockhooper, the king, the Antarctic, the Emperor and Adelie. Among them, the emperor and Adelie species, the highest is the smallest.

A normal penguin 11 pounds heavier, about 30 inches tall. Previously, people think these animals are nothing but fish, but long after it was later confirmed, they are actually birds. The structure of their bodies is very easy for them to change this bad weather conditions. They can not fly wings, but the water to help them.

Some people say, penguins feel more comfortable when in the water. Penguin coloring makes it camouflage themselves into the surrounding environment. In this way it can to protect their natural enemies. They mainly feed on small fish and krill.

These birds are harmless, which have their own gregarious species. An interesting observation of the penguins is that when they swim in the water bodies and some species even hunting together. In fact, some species, only a quarter of the cost of living in the land. Penguins perform certain actions, if they feel at risk. These gestures as warning signs. Bow, elation, and even beat their wings are some of their gestures used. They even give a verbal signal.
